Posted by: admin on: December 17, 2011

If you like to hammer and customize a vehicle into a work of art, the street rod and custom fabrication industry could be a great career fit.

On the job, street rod and custom fabrication specialists may:

•    Specialize in sheet metal fabrication techniques
•    Use equipment like the English Wheel, power hammer, planising hammer, bead roller and louver press
•    M.I.G. and oxy-acetylene weld
•    Chop tops
•    Custom paint
•    And more

Job opportunities may include working as a welder, fabricator, custom painter and specialty shop technician. This could be great time to start training for work doing the things you love, like being creative and customizing vehicles that can turn heads.
